5 Principles Of A Healthy Lifestyle

I was going through some of my frequent sites looking for some ideas on what to write about for this post when I came upon a simple graphic (thanks Google images ;-) ) that described five basic tips to living a healthy lifestyle. Needless to say it was enough to give me a few ideas and road map basically for how I wanted to write this post and the key points that I am going to touch. That’s a quick writers tip for all those people that struggle to come up with ideas for their blogs, sometimes a simple picture based on the keyword you want to write about is enough to get those creative writing juices flowing.

OK back to the five principles for a healthy life, considering the graphic that gave me the idea for this post is in the shape of a circle. There really is no one tip that is any more important that the other ones as they all work together to create a certain level of balance in your life. So in no particular order here are the five keys, reduce stress, drink water, limit exposure to toxins, healthy eating choices and last but not least exercise.

I consider myself to be a pretty good follower of all five of those tips and for the most part I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. Here’s a quick review as I get my exercise in for about 30 to 45 minutes for five days a week, luckily for me I am  not a very high strung person so stress has never been an issue for me. I like to think that I have become pretty proficient at limiting the amount of toxins that I get exposed to on a daily basis. Surprisingly while I was looking at those five things if I am being honest with myself it’s the food and the water that I seem to have most trouble staying on top of.

You would think that of all five of those points that the ones that I should be on top of the most would be the liquids and nutrients that go into my body everyday  I would be curious to know what percentage of the population struggles with those two in comparison to the others. Without any scientific proof or data to back me up but I would be willing to wager that the majority of the population would fall into the same category as I do. I am basing my opinion on the fact that there is such a huge problem with obesity in this country.

Well what do you think? I realize that there are a lot more pieces that go into the puzzle of living a balanced healthy life. I do how ever think that you could water down all those different points at fit them under one of those main five categories of food, water, stress, toxins and exercise. So mind your five and get working on that healthy lifestyle that you have always wanted.

Here is a quick poll regarding those five points that I touched on let’s see where we all fall and be honest with your self ;-)

Which of the 5 principles of a healthy lifestyle do you struggle with the most?
