Life Style Lift A Much Cheaper Face Lift

Plastic surgeries are on the rise with an estimated 12 million procedures done every year. The concept of plastic surgery has become very widely accepted. With that acception in to society the medical industry has moved forward and seized the opportunity to capitalize. There have been some big advacnements in the past few years, for example the procedure known as a lifestyle lift is generating a lot of business for plastic surgeons around the world.

The lifestyle lift is has been gaining a lot of popularity for some very good reasons. The first of those reasons being the cost of a lifestyle lift in comparision to a traditional face lift is literally thousands of dollars. The average starting cost for a lifestyle lift is in the starting range of about $3500 dollars and of course depending on what is needed per case basis can still only cost you about $5000 dollars. That is a very small percentage of what a traditional face lift may cost you.

Another of the major benefits to getting a lifestyle lift is the procedure itself. We’ve all seen those medical shows or even that show extreme make over where they do a full on face lift on a person that wipes them out for weeks with bandages and bruises all over their face. Involving a standard hospital stay and a full on operational procedure involving doctors, nurses and anesthesiologist. In comparison the lifestyle lift is an in office procedure that can be done by the doctor with just a local anesthetic and approximately an hour of your time. Better yet the recovery time for most patients is a week at the most!

One common problem that has been associated with this procedure is the acutal wait time you may have to get an appointment for the acutal procedure. As the lifestyle lift has really taken off in popularity and is seeing a lot of new customers coming into plastic surgeon offices all over the world. Also surprisingly is the amount of men that are coming in for this procedure has seen a dramatic increase as well.

Be sure to watch the following news clip on the popularity of the lifestyle lift as well as a real patient and her results. Seen right there in the doctors office. Leave your comments or share your opinions at the end of the news clip.

I’m a plastic surgeon and I personally do not recommend the life style lift unless the patient has had a full traditional face lift 5 or more years before. The life style face lift is a superficial lift and therefore limited in longevity.
I full face lift, such as mid face lift we perform in our clinic, addresses the deep muscles of the face and of course the skin. This guarantees a more durable result. The cost is definitely higher but the results are long-lasting. We have had patients come through our clinic six months after a lifestyle lift complaining that the results of the operation have completely disappeared. Conclusion: in my opinion, the life style lift it is a wonderful procedure to maintain a previously done traditional face lift.
